New Drawings

I'm helping a friend out working at her bookstore one day a week in Wallingford. It is this rad little store right off of 45th Ave called Alphabet Soup. On Thursday nights there are not a lot of folks that come in to the store, so I sit there and draw for most of the time or I read the books there. Oh, yes it is a children's book store - but oh my; there are so many amazing books there. The best part, almost all have pictures in them. It is like a little slice of heaven for four hours.

Ok, so on the the drawings:

Holy crap that is a lot of new stuff

In getting prepared for Pooltradeshow in Las Vegas next month. I have taken on the large task of printing one of every single print I have. I'm doing this on both the Poly-Blend and the 100% Organic Cotton for men and also the long sleeve and short sleeve 100% Organic Cotton for women. That is a ton of screens and a ton of style combinations.

The great news is that I released a ton of my older stuff that has been out of print for some time. Bradley and I did a photo shoot yesterday so my "Dudes" section is all filled up again with 37 choices!

Murderface's father was Man At Arms

One of my favorite shows right now is Metalocalypse on Adult Swim. Since I don't have TV I have to watch it online or watch season one on DVD.

About a week ago my good friend Mr. Maxwell brought over season one of He-Man. While watching the show I noticed that Man At Arms looks a lot like Murderface. Perhaps some inspiration? Well, I sure hope so.

Peridot in Queen Anne now has Partybots!

For a few months now I have been working with this really sweet lady named Elle from Peridot. I'm proud to say that they now carry my 100% organic women's line! It is this really rad little store in lower Queen Anne. Check it out and pickup a kick ass panter or nun-ped tee!

Insomnia

From Wikipedia:

"Insomnia is a sleeping disorder characterized by persistent difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep despite the opportunity. It is typically followed by functional impairment while awake. Insomniacs have been known to complain about being unable to close their eyes or "rest their mind" for more than a few minutes at a time. Both organic and non-organic insomnia constitute a sleep disorder.[1][2]

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, approximately 60 million Americans suffer from insomnia each year.[3] Insomnia tends to increase with age and affects about 40 percent of women and 30 percent of men.[4]"

I sleep very little these days - for the most part I have not slept for the last 4-5 months now. My eyes do burn during most of the day - I feel like a zombie. My thoughts and head do not shut-off throughout the day or evening. Between my work - and always thinking about what needs to be done next, to a lot of emotional things I'm dealing with right now. It never seems to stop. Most of the time I just lay there doing nothing but thinking about everything. Being slightly exhausted is an understatement. Last night I drew in my room till almost 5am this morning then fell asleep for a briefly - and back in to my zombie like state.

A few more months of really hard work, then I'm taking a break and doing something for myself.

FAQ Page - Updated

I have no idea what I did not do this in the past and it took me this long to do it. I updated my FAQ page which was well in the making. I added all my environmental information and re-did the sizing charts with more accurate information.

idrawalot

I'm working on a new website that will have all my drawings in one central location. However, going through allllll my files of drawing has become any uncanny task. I have barely made it through three folders of drawings from 2006 and I already have over 120 drawings. I'm pretty stoked on it. The site will look awesome, and I'm going to link it all up to different things so that folks can find it. Alright, back to file editing again. Hooray!

first post of the year

Right now I'm waiting for my platen glue to dry so I can start printing again. I finished up the second half of the first order for Retrofit Homes in Capitol Hill. I will be taking it to them later this afternoon before an appointment I have at 4pm.

Things on my plate to do today:
  1. Finish getting all the documents and sample shirts for the SOPAC region of Whole Foods Market - then mail it out.
  2. Mail out a few orders
  3. Start printing new lineup of artwork (includes: Coconut, Sharks Wearing Jean Jackets, Blank Page Comic, Hot Dog, Panther and Mr. Stemke)
  4. Finish writing new order for the Lamar Whole Foods Market
  5. Email folks about my art show tomorrow
  6. Getting information ready to seek out a sales rep for myself
  7. Drop off Retrofit shirts to their store
