Write-Ups and Fan Photos

There were a couple of cool articles written about some art and Partybots.

The first BLOG is from Fabric Addict - they featured my "Noodle Arms" shirt. Here is a link to the BLOG.

The second BLOG is from Coxy's BLOG. They bought some shirts from me, loved them so much they wrote about it. The two they featured are the "Giraffe" and the "Two Head" drawings. Here is the link to that awesome BLOG.

The third BLOG was from radical Joshua from The Discerning Brute. He wrote about Partybots being at The Go Green Expo over the weekend.

The fourth and last is from a photo BLOG called Once_I_Cry. The photo below is from that, Brenna is wearing the "Dinner" drawing.

Thanks for all the press and photos!

On the news in New York!

Over the weekend I was at the Go Green Expo in New York. There were a lot of folks there, and press. Channel 11 news did a little blurp about the Expo, and they filmed my Cupcake Secret. Here is the footage, my part is in the middle-end of it. I have a lot more to BLOG about once I get some sleep. New York was awesome!

Brooklyn - Day One

I woke up way early this morning to get to the airport. I bought my ticket through Alaska, but the flight was with American. I went to the wrong ticket counter and was confused for about 30 seconds. Flight was good, went by quickly. I listen to a lot of my "learning Japanese" cds for next month's trip. Slept, and also drew a lot for an art show I have coming up at 20 Twenty.

I took a bunch of trains to get to Brooklyn where I'm staying with my friend Jodi. She showed me this rad website called Hop Stop which really helps with directions. I'm hoping that the next two days I can hit up some stores, and check out some art museums.

Saturday and Sunday are going to rule at the Green Expo. I brought really good inventory and have a lot of it. This new art is going to sell like hot cakes. I printed on all 100% organic cotton, crew neck and v-neck.

Alright, I'm out for a fun night on the town.

Looking for Books, and Polaroid Wall

I just got this photo from this fine lad. He is currently looking for the history books that were written about the cowboy zombie era. Sort of an elitist on history of sorts.

And this is my Polaroid wall that I have up for a little bit now in my room - and it is growing. I'm pretty happy with it so far. I need to go get more film thou.

2008 Catalog, New Product and News

Hello Everyone,

I'm super proud to launch Partybot's new Catalog for 2008. A good friend of mine designed it, and it looks amazing. The catalog is setup as a 1..2..3 for ordering. Choose your artwork, style of apparel and color/size. Everything can be mixed and matched to your hearts delight. There are currently 59 choices of artwork plus 10 choices of apparel/accessories.

This month I have released two new drawings, my Rifle Monkey and Cupcakes. Both are pretty fun and delightful.

The next few months Partybots will be all over the place. For April 26th and 27th I will be in NYC at the Go Green Expo. In May 14th-24th I will be in Tokyo for Design Fiesta. In June 14th and 15th it is back to NYC for Renegade Craft Fair. If you are around these spots - please feel free to drop by and say "hello."

Thanks so much for all your support

Afriad of the usage of color, but god damn do I love it

I'm working on a lot of new artwork right now based on my illustrations and drawings. I have this sort of technique down that I have used for the last few art shows that I have had. It is a mixure of wheat pasting and glazing with a print of my illustration. There are some kinks I need to work out like wrinkles, corners coming un-done and so forth. However, I do feel like I'm figuring out how to apply it better and better every time I do it.

Moving on to color. Other then my screen printing, and the colors that I use there - I have always used black and white. As of late, I have been going to a lot of art shows. Last night I went to two good shows in Belltown. The colors that some of these other artist are using are amazing. So here is the dilemma that has been brewing in my head for a few years now. I love color, I know I can see color so well. I feel like my eyes have been attune to see pigment, tone and hue at a much higher level then most. That is not me trying to brag, or be a dick - it is just one of those things I feel talented with. So knowing that, I have never really ventured in to color and the use of it in my artwork. It is one of those weird contradictions - and something I have been trying to figure out. Perhaps it is as simple as the medium that I use to create artwork.

Goal to be completed in the next six months:
To overcome my hesitation with the use of color in my own artwork. Find a medium that works well with my style and technique that I use for my work.

Zebraclub Stores - Seattle

After being in bed for several hours awake I figured it was time to do something productive. Hooray for insomnia kicking back in.

Without further a due:

Yesterday I stopped in to Zebraclub on Capitol Hill to pick something up and take a few pictures of my product in the store. I have this sweet mini endcap in that location. This fine gentleman was kind enough to pose for me. When I left, I forgot what I went there to pick up. He found me down the street and gave it to me. Now, that is some fine customer service. Where else are you going to get that? So go check it out, because it is awesome. Get a rad tee with some sweet artwork hand printed on it.

Here are the locations you can go to:

Certificate of Space Competency

Today was pretty rad. Brad and I went to get our "Certificate of Space Competency." I think we did pretty good. Afterwards we rode around in my "new" FX-08... till I crashed it. Below is the official crash report. And yes, for whatever reason I put Brad down as ".5" so I wouldn't get in that much trouble.

Pirate Ships are fun to draw

I have been meaning to post these for a few days now. Production was a little heavy this week - and I spent some time socializing which I think was good for me.

Neat-O Displays

Last weekend I was in Portland for a few days checking in on some of the stores I sell to. The Bridgeport Whole Foods Market has a pretty dang amazing table in their department with my stuff on it. Plus they had one of those mannequins with my rock-a-phone hoody and the hot dog shirt underneath. Thanks to Noelle, totally awesome of her. The bottom two pictures are from that store.

The other store is 20 Twenty in Ballard. Joel is the owner, and he rules a lot. In the front window of the store he had my Trans Am shirt. Awesome week for displays around Seattle and Portland.
